Private by design
Your memories are end-to-end encrypted. That's not a setting — it's how Amorby is built.
What happens when you add a photo
On your phone
The photo is locked with a key that only exists on your and your partner's devices.
On the way
Only the locked version leaves your phone.
On our server
We store scrambled data. We can't open it, scan it or show it to anyone.
On your partner's phone
Their key unlocks it, and the photo appears.
See it for yourself
Flip the switch: this is exactly what reaches our server.
Same memory. We only ever get the scrambled version.
Encrypted
- Photos
- Love letters and voice messages
- Experiences
- Chat messages
- Comments and notes
- Event notes
- Bucket list
- Answers to the daily question
Not encrypted — needed to run the app
- Email address
- Display name and birthday
- Your couple's dates
- Time zone (long-distance mode)
- When something was added — not what it says
Your recovery code
When you set up, you get a recovery code. It lets you open your album on a new phone. Keep it somewhere safe: because we don't have your key, we can't recover your memories if you lose every device and the code.
Your copy, any time
Settings → Download everything saves everything to your own device, in files you can open without Amorby.
If you split up
Each of you can save a copy before the shared space is closed. Then it's deleted — for both of you, from our servers.
Ads without tracking
The free version shows non-personalized ads only. No tracking across apps, no profile of you.
